The not-so-scary exam, i.e. changes in PMI® exams

What do I remember about my approach to the PMP® exam? Apart from the intensive work on substantive preparation, it was, in some respects, an absurd experience. The restrictions before entering the room made me wonder whether I was taking the test or whether I was about to visit a secret research facility - double verification of identity, search of pockets, pants and shirt cuffs, checking buttons and glasses for the presence of cameras, transmitters and receivers... search metal detector. This may take away the peace of mind you need before taking an already difficult exam.

PMI®, keeping up with the times, tests currently different, a more candidate-friendly approach to your exams. The CAPM® certificate came first. A pilot program was launched, allowing you to take this test in more comfortable conditions. Imagine that you no longer have to go to one of the two examination centers in Warsaw or Krakow. All you need is a computer with a camera, a network connection and you can approach it without leaving your home. Of course, PMI® has protected itself against potential abuses by test takers. We must be aware that we will be monitored via a camera throughout the entire duration of the exam and that we cannot leave the program conducting the exam. If we do not meet the conditions, our test will be interrupted. The idea of taking the exam this way seems tempting and comfortable. On the other hand, it requires very good self-organization skills and control over one's environment, which in the heat of family life can also be a challenge in itself.

Apparently, there are plans for tests related to "other popular PMI® exams." Could a similar fate await PMP®?
